The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused on service the area daily. The company point designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace more info to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
